So, you would like to get a dog? If you are in Europe, a pedigree dog can cost anywhere from Eur500 to Eur5000 just to purchase.
At the Dohakder Charity Rescue-Centre, you will find all sizes, shapes and breeds of dogs, with a multitude of beautiful attributes! Most are very socialised with both humans and other dogs, due to their care at the centre, or from living on the streets prior to housing with us. We have puppies, young dogs, and even elderly dogs – all of whom will bring joy to your home, and you will bring happiness to a needy dog.
We do not charge anyone a fee for re-homing a dog, but fortunately we do have kind supporters who donate regularly for the care and feeding of the dogs, or upkeep of the centre – check out our Donation Page – so, others have already contributed towards your new-dogs care. Thank you.
If you do decide to adopt, then yes, there are costs associated with this, from travel to medical requirements, and our volunteers can assist you and inform you of those costs as you move forward. Depending on which country you reside in can also greatly affect the costs of transportation in particular, and each destination may have differing test and inoculation requirements, but we are here to help you and vets here in Turkey can ensure that your dog will be ready to travel to your home country. How many friends do each of us have? If you look at your Facebook page today, maybe you have a hundred, or many more? These will be friends that you have made over the years in different countries, and some are from schooldays… Truth be told, it’s likely that out of all those friends only a handful truly know you, and have stood beside you through your life.
We are so lucky to find special souls who will always be there for us, and we have a rescue-centre full of beautiful dogs, all waiting to be a part of someone’s walk through life. ♥♥♥ DOGS READY TO TRAVEL ♥♥♥
To travel out from Turkey all dogs need to have their Rabies Vaccines up to date and a Titer Test taken. The time they can then travel after the test is taken varies dependent on the country they are travelling to. UK has the longest wait of three months after test results. This procedure normally starts when a dog is chosen to adopt, the adopter paying the costs. Thanks to amazing Fundraising by one of our volunteers we now have some dogs available to travel now. Their Titer Tests are done and waiting period over.
Transportation costs are paid directly to your chosen Transporter.
